Public Seminar/Greystone Manor Investigation!

On Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at 2:00 PM, TNPS will be offering a seminar in Paranormal Investigation at the Lewis County Historical Society Building on State Street in Lowville, NY. At this time we will be revealing the results of our investigations of Greystone Manor in Martinsburg, NY, and of the Historical Society Building itself. Once our seminar is concluded, we will be offering participants a unique opportunity to join with us in an investigation of historic Greystone Manor in Martinsburg. We were the first paranormal group to be allowed access to this historic location, and we are excited to be able to offer this chance to investigate such an amazing building! The seminar will last until roughly 4:15-4:30 PM. We will be giving people a break of approximately an hour, and then participants will meet at Greystone at about 5:30-5:45 to begin the investigation. The seminar alone is $10.00. The seminar and investigation is $15.00. ALL proceeds from this event will go to assist the Historical Society in its efforts to restore Greystone Manor to its former grandeur. Please come and join us for what promises to be a VERY interesting afternoon/evening!

Lowville Library Mini-investigation Results!

On Friday, October 22, The Northern Paranormal Society conducted a seminar/mini-investigation at the Lowville Free Library. While no photographic, audio, or video evidence was gathered during this most recent investigation of the library, it was nonetheless a very active evening! Many participants in the investigation had personal experiences they won't soon forget. One group witnessed both a light fixture and a kite moving in response to questions. The kite then stopped moving abruptly when the investigator asked it to do so! One person heard a whisper in his ear, and another felt someone touch his back even though film footage proves that no one was nearby. Two different individuals felt sudden feelings of extreme sadness. One became so affected by these feelings that she sobbed uncontrollably. Research has led us to believe that these emotions can sometimes occur when a spirit comes very close to a person.

Thank you to all the participants! You made this fundraiser a success, and the evening unforgettable! Special thanks to the Anime Club for the delicious refreshments, the Board of Directors for their trust in us, and Dawn Myers for her continued interest and support!

Thank you also for your patience! Investigation results have been delayed due to emergency cases, equipment difficulties, and life in general! We hope your holidays were joyful! More results are coming soon, including the paranormal encampment weekend results from Fort Stanwix! Stay tuned!

T.N.P.S. at Lowville Library for Annual Fundraiser

The team was at the Lowville Free Library the evening of October 22, 2010 to conduct a seminar and public investigation as part of the library's fundraising efforts.  This was the 2nd year that T.N.P.S. was able to help the library fund programming in an attempt to offset recent budget cuts at several levels of the government.  The event was very well attended and several members of the public had personal experiences of their own during the public investigation.

         T.N.P.S. Investigates SUNY Geneseo Dormitory!

On March 13, 2010, T.N.P.S. investigated Monroe Hall on the SUNY Geneseo campus in Geneseo, NY. We initiated this investigation in an attempt to get to the bottom of stories that have been circulating about the dorm for many years. We are currently reviewing the evidence we gathered and continuing to research past reports of paranormal activity in Monroe. On April 16, 2010, we will be doing a seminar in paranormal investigation at SUNY Geneseo, culminating with the public reveal of our Monroe Hall investigation. This investigation was a superlative for us in quite a few ways! Many more details will be forthcoming about this amazing case!

More School Presentations

T.N.P.S. recently had two more opportunities to share some of their experiences in a classrooms.  One presentation was at another local school; the second was at a middle school in Amsterdam, NY.  At both schools, the team was invited to discuss current investigation techniques with the students and the students had a chance to review evidence the team has collected on various investigations.  All of the students were very interested and a pleasure to talk to. They showed a lot of enthusiasm for the subject!  Thanks for inviting us to your classroom!!

T.N.P.S. enjoys talking to students about their work as many adolescents have the impression that all paranormal events are frightening and potentially dangerous.  While the team does not encourage young people to experiment with what they do not understand, T.N.P.S. does not want them to be needlessly fearful of the subject either.
